CoinPayments and Jetcraft have partnered to enable crypto payments for aircraft purchases and private aviation services.
According to a press release shared with crypto.news, CoinPayments Inc., a leading crypto payment gateway, has announced a partnership with Jetcraft, the worldâs largest buyer and seller of business aircrafts, to enable cryptocurrency payments for aircrafts and private aviation services.
âOur partnership with Jetcraft represents a significant milestone in cryptocurrency adoption within HNW markets,â said Alex Alexandrov, Chairman of CoinPayments Inc. âBy offering cryptocurrency payments for private aviation transactions, weâre expanding digital asset utility while providing Jetcraftâs clientele with the payment flexibility and efficiency they deserve.â
As part of this partnership, CoinPaymentsâ technology will be fully integrated into Jetcraftâs accounting and transaction processes. Clients will be able to use a wide range of crypto assets for transactions, and payments will be processed instantly with state-of-the-art encryption and security protocols in place to protect every transaction.
âAt Jetcraft, we evolve with the ever-changing needs of our global clientele, many of whom dominate the tech, AI and entrepreneurial spaces,â said Jahid Fazal-Karim, Owner and Chairman of the Board, Jetcraft. âHowever, weâre often constrained by outdated processes and systems. By partnering with CoinPayments, weâre bringing forward an innovative payment solution that matches the forward-thinking mindset of our customers.â
The partnership between CoinPayments and Jetcraft marks the first major integration of crypto payment solutions within the private aviation sector. However, the use of crypto in services tailored to high-net-worth individuals has been steadily gaining traction across other luxury markets.
For example, luxury real estate firms in cities like Miami and Dubai have begun accepting Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies for multi-million dollar property transactions. In 2022, ONE Sothebyâs International Realty partnered with Voxel Architects and NFT collector Gabe Sierra to launch the âMetaRealâ Mansion project in Miami, aiming to sell a real-world luxury home alongside its digital twin in the metaverse, with the transaction executed via an NFT on the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain.
Similarly, luxury retailers and concierge services catering to affluent clientele have embraced crypto. The luxury watch brand Hublot began accepting BTC and ETH for select limited-edition timepieces, while companies like Post Oak Motor Cars in Houstonâbacked by billionaire Tilman Fertittaâaccepting Bitcoin (BTC) for high-end vehicles including Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Bugatti.
